To Whom It May Concern:

It is a privilege to write in regard of Mrs. Christine Hollan and Golden Age Senior Placement.  I met Christine over 6 years ago when we were both working at one of the largest hospices in San Antonio.  Words that come to mind when thinking of our first meeting are professional, kind, knowledgeable, warm, and caring.

One of my first memories of Christine was her warmth and how helpful she was.  It wasn’t just “if you need anything,” it was her genuine willing to help someone.  Over the years this has continued.  Christine goes out of her way to assist anyone with whatever their needs are.  She is a take-charge person who is able to present ideas and communicate with anyone - no matter their level of education or knowledge.

Currently I am a case manager in a very busy hospital in San Antonio.  Frequently I call upon Christine for assistance with patients and their discharge needs.  When I have a patient or family that says “just don’t know what I’m going to do,” I know to call Christine.  She often pulls the rabbit of out the hat and makes things happen.  Her resources are endless but most of all the care and kindness she shows for others is genuine.  No matter what the situation is, she adapts and makes things happen.

Over the years my relationship with Christine has moved from professional to personal and I consider it a privilege and an honor to call her friend.

In closing, Christine Hollan is a person that is professionally and personally a person that gets the job done while at the same time remaining professional and caring.

Truly,

Beverly A. McClanahan, BSN, RN

Dear Christine and Jim,Dear Christine and Jim,

Thank you so much for being you and for doing what you do to help families preserve dignity and make positive memories while experiencing difficult circumstances associated with the end of life. My husband who had lived a happy, active, and productive life with coronary artery disease and mild heart failure for over 30 years was diagnosed with end stage heart failure at the end of last year.  We found ourselves in almost constant turmoil trying to keep pace with changes in his health status. There seemed to be no environment appropriately equipped to address his needs. Over the course of five and a half months he was hospitalized at least 8 times with a few weeks at home with intensive home health supervision or in one of four different rehabilitation facilities.  We met wonderful, caring people during each of those experiences. However, when my husband was not sick enough to warrant hospitalization he was too sick and unstable to be an appropriate candidate for rehabilitation or home care.  Despite dedicated assistance from social workers and case managers we were not able to find an environment where we could preserve dignity and safely address our unique and difficult circumstances until we found Golden Age Senior Placement

I am a nurse with multiple degrees in the field and long career with varied experience but found myself in a very personal situation for which the education and experiences had not prepared me. There are many trained professionals and there is an abundance of information available offering suggestions and generalized information to use as a practical guide in locating and selecting nursing homes, rehabilitation, or long-term care facilities. Those resources may be very helpful for families with simple and uncomplicated issues. I needed to have someone, like you and Jim, who could walk with me through the process of identifying our specific problems then locating and visiting facilities that were best equipped to address those issues

You recognized and understood the uniqueness of our circumstances. You indeed, learned our standards and values as you helped us identify the living arrangements that would best meet our needs. You provided us with the most essential, customized level of support that facilitated our decision making.  Ultimately, with great care and compassion you guided and supported me in selecting the place where my husband and I could feel safe,  welcomed, cared for, respected and where we were able to do the work necessary for us to say our final good byes.

I will be eternally grateful for your support and caring.  Thank you.

Sincerely,
Suzanne S. Yarbrough PhD, RN (Ret)

To whom it may concern,

I am writing this letter of recommendation for Christine Hollan and her company,Golden Age Senior Placement.  I have had the pleasure of working with Christine both directly and indirectly for over 5 years.  During Christine’s years as a Regional Sales Manager her tremendous leadership abilities never ceased to amaze me.

Christine’s adaptability with her customers, employees and patients is only the beginning of why she has been so successful. I feel what makes Christine the most successful is her caring attitude and incredible work ethic.  When a patient or employee had needs that had to be met there was no time clock that Christine would follow.  Her leadership qualities were shown by example.

To Whom It May Concern: Re: Mrs. Christine Hollan

It is my pleasure to share this well-deserved letter of recommendation for Mrs. Hollan.

Her caring and knowledgeable assistance during the final months for both my parents was invaluable and always comforting.

Her vast experience of over 20 years was evident in her guidance and compassion thru my journey with my parents. Even though she was in management with her company and always busy, she was always available and responsive. Her patients are always her priority.

I can not imagine these challenges in my life without having some one like Mrs. Hollan by your side.

I highly recommend Christine's placement service.  She found my sister an excellent, caring personal care home which met her stated budget.  We couldn't be more pleased.  In addition, Christine connected us to a hospice care service which is covered by my sister's health insurance plan.  We are also very happy with that service.

Thank you Christine!

Our residents have been blessed to have an advocate like Golden Age Senior Placement in our corner.  Mrs. Holland is always a phone call away when our clients need assistance with placement after their stay in our skilled nursing facility.  She walks the resident and their family member(s) by their hand through the entire process.  All we do is make the call and she handles the rest.  Our customers have been very satisfied with her services.  Thank you for giving our residents and their family members piece of mind during a difficult time.  Thank you for being an advocate.

It’s my absolute pleasure to recommend Christine Hollan from Golden Age Senior Placement as a personal care manager.

I met Christine last September when my sister requested I find a group home instead of a nursing home for her.  Christine was recommended by the rehabilitation counselor.

Christine and I talked in depth regarding my sister and her health issues and financial issues as well.  She was able to find me several homes that would work with my sister’s limited budget.  I toured the homes and chose one of them to place my sister in.

Along with her undeniable talent, Christine has always been an absolute joy to work with. She is very compassionate and a very caring individual.

I had to relocate my sister this July and I once again contacted Christine and she was able to help once more.  She also went by and visited my sister at her new home.  .

Without a doubt, I confidently recommend Christine. She is dedicated and very knowledgeable and goes the extra mile to help you with find the right place for your loved ones.

Please feel free to contact me at 717-226-8137 should you like to discuss Christine Hollan further. I’d be happy to expand on my recommendation.

Best wishes,
Sheila Clark

With a 90-day notice that mom had to move because she could no longer evacuate the building without help, I reached out to mom’s health care service and asked if they could recommend someone or some facilities for mom’s new home.  They gave me Christine Hollan at placement consultant  at Golden Age Senior Placement.

Christine explained the different levels of facilities and suggested a few places to consider.  After I visited a few facilities, I was able to narrow our choices to two facilities.  Mom and I visited both and mom selected the place she liked best.

A nightmare turned into an experience of knowledgeable choices because of Christine’s compassion, experience and knowledge of health care facilities.
